ALTERA Development Kit, MAX V 5M570ZN CPLD Development Kit, from the market's leading supplier of CPLDs, provides a comprehensive, low-cost hardware platform to quickly begin developing low-cost, low-power CPLD designs. The ALTERA Development Kit is designed to prototype the most common CPLD applications including I/O expansion, interface bridging, power management control, configuration and initialization control and Analogue interface control. With this platform, User has an option to develop designs for the 5M570Z CPLD, Measure CPLD power (VCCINT and VCCIO), Bridge between two different I/O voltages (adjustable VCCIO on CPLD Bank 2), Interface to external functions or devices via four connectors, Read and write to memories: 8-kilobits (Kb) user flash memory (UFM) available within 5M570Z CPLD,I2C or SPI EEPROMs (user installed), Come up to speed quickly with CPLD design by reusing the example designs provided, Reuse the kit's PCB board and schematic as a model for the design.

Features:

  1. MAX V 5M570Z CPLD with 256 pins, FineLine BGA package
  2. Configuration via USB-Blaster JTAG interface
  3. Power measurement circuitry for VCCINT and VCCIO
  4. Expandable with I2C/SPI EEPROMs and user flash memory
  5. Interface with external devices through multiple connectors
  6. Design support with Quartus II software and example designs

Package Include:

1 x ALTERA Development Kit, MAX V 5M570ZN CPLD, CPLD Applications, Including I/O Expansion, Interface Bridging

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
