FRDM-KL02Z is an ultra-low-cost development kit for the Kinetis MKL02Z32VFM4 microcontroller. The MKL02Z32VFM4 is a Kinetis KL02 series ARM Cortex-M0+ core microcontroller. The freedom development platform is an evaluation and development tool ideal for the rapid prototyping of microcontroller-based applications. The hardware design is form factor compatible with popular third-party hardware designed to work with Arduino and Arduino-compatible boards. The specifications of the KL02Z32 and the flexible design of the FRDM-KL02Z enable a wide variety of design prototypes including those dependent on battery power or harvested energy. The FRDM-KL02Z is the first hardware platform to feature the NXP open standard embedded serial and debug adapter known as OpenSDA. This circuit offers the user several options for serial communications, flash programming, and runs control debugging.

Features:

  1. Kinetis L Series KL02 family MCU in a 32QFN package
  2.  I/O headers for easy access to MCU I/O pins
  3.  Freescale 3-axis accelerometer sensor, MMA8451Q
  4.  Capacitive touch slider using GPIO method based on TSS lib
  5.  Reset pushbutton
note: For more technical details, go through the datasheet in the attachments

Package Includes:

1 x NXP Development Board FRDM-KL02Z MKL02Z32VFM4 MCU

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
