A Radar Flow Meter Sensor series product, which can be used with our company's water and rain condition poles and host, has 485 communication, standard ModBus-RTU communication protocol, and the longest communication distance is 2000 m. The product power supply is a 10-30 V wide voltage power supply, mainly used in canals, rivers, and other occasions that require flow and water level monitoring. This sensor can detect water flow rate and water level. The flow meter is used to collect the surface flow rate of the fluid and calculate the average flow rate of the water section through the model.

The water level measured by the water level meter and the cross-sectional information are then used to calculate the cross-sectional area of the flow. The flow rate is then obtained using the formula flow rate = average flow rate × cross-sectional area of the flow × correction coefficient, where the correction coefficient is calculated based on the standard value obtained in the actual measurement environment.

Features:

  1. Non-contact radar sensing for flow and level
  2. Measures water velocity, level, volume, and flow rate
  3. Dual radar frequency: 24 GHz (velocity), 76–81 GHz (distance)
  4. Wide voltage power supply: DC 10–30V
  5. RS485 interface with ModBus-RTU protocol
  6. High precision: ±2% velocity, ±1mm distance
  7. Durable in extreme weather (-40℃ to +60℃)
  8. Long-distance communication up to 2000 meters

Package Includes:

1 x SN-3003-RAD-N01, Radar Flow Meter Sensor (RS485)

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
