The Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W with Header is a compact yet powerful microcontroller board built around the new RP2350 microcontroller. It features dual‑core processing — either dual Arm Cortex‑M33 or dual open‑hardware Hazard3 RISC‑V cores — running at up to 150 MHz. Onboard you get 520 KB of SRAM and 4 MB of QSPI flash, giving ample memory for code, data, and wireless firmware. The board brings 2.4 GHz 802.11n Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 via its integrated wireless modem and antenna, enabling networked and IoT applications out of the box.

With 26 multifunction 3.3 V GPIO pins (a few of which support ADC), plus support for UART, SPI, I2C, PWM, PIO, and USB 1.1 (host and device), the Pico 2 W offers broad interfacing flexibility for sensors, displays, and peripherals. Supplied with pre‑soldered headers, it’s breadboard‑ and prototype‑ready. Security features — including Arm TrustZone, boot signing (OTP key storage), SHA‑256 acceleration, and hardware mitigations — make it suitable for professional and embedded use. The board also retains full hardware and software compatibility with the earlier Pico series.

Features:

  1. Dual-core RP2350 microcontroller supporting either Arm Cortex‑M33 or RISC-V Hazard3 cores at up to 150 MHz.
  2. 520 KB on-chip SRAM and 4 MB onboard QSPI Flash for code, firmware, and data storage.
  3. Integrated 2.4 GHz 802.11n Wi‑Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 with on-board antenna for wireless connectivity.
  4. Up to 26 multifunction 3.3 V GPIO pins (some ADC-capable), 2 UART, 2 SPI, 2 I²C, 24 PWM channels, USB 1.1 (host + device), and 12 programmable I/O (PIO) state machines.
  5. Compatible with multiple programming environments: C, C++, MicroPython, CircuitPython; supports USB drag-and-drop programming.
  6. Enhanced security: secure boot, hardware encryption, Arm TrustZone, OTP storage, SHA-256 acceleration, and fault-injection protection.
  7. Compact 21 mm × 51 mm form factor with pre-soldered header, breadboard- and PCB-ready for prototyping.

Package Includes:

1 x Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W with Header

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
