The Senba Sensing Tech SB612A-02-001-L Human Body Sensing Module is an advanced sensor module designed for automatic control applications. It uses passive infrared (PIR) technology to detect human movement, providing high sensitivity and reliability. The module is suitable for a variety of automated sensing devices. Its metal casing with grounding enhances anti-interference capabilities, while its digital signal processing outputs high and low levels. The module features adjustable sensitivity, light control, and delay time. The sensing range covers up to 8 meters with a 115° detection cone. It also supports repeatable triggering, ensuring continuous monitoring until the target leaves the sensing area.

Features:

  1. High Sensitivity & Anti-Interference: Uses a metal casing with grounding and digital signal processing.
  2. Adjustable Sensitivity & Light Control: Customize the sensitivity (SENS) and light control (DARK_ADJ).
  3. Repeatable Triggering: Maintains high output if movement continues, resets after delay.
  4. Wide Sensing Range: Detects motion within 115° cone, up to 8 meters.
  5. Flexible Delay Time: Adjustable delay from 2 seconds to 70 minutes.

Setup Guide

1
Identify the pins
Locate VCC (power), GND (ground), and data pins (SDA/SCL for I2C, MOSI/MISO for SPI, or TX/RX for UART). Refer to the pinout diagram on the product page.
2
Wire to your microcontroller
Connect VCC to 3.3V or 5V (check the module spec), GND to GND, and data pins to the appropriate GPIO pins on your Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
3
Install libraries
In Arduino IDE, go to Sketch → Include Library → Manage Libraries and search for the sensor library. Install the recommended version.
4
Upload example sketch
Open File → Examples → [library name] → Basic Example. Upload to your board and open Serial Monitor to view output.
5
Calibrate if needed
Some sensors (temperature, humidity, distance) may need a short warm-up period or calibration. Run the calibration sketch if provided.
